Product description

Washing machines and dishwashers work hard, and over time, that shows. Limescale, detergent residue, and soap scum collect inside pipes and internal components and go unnoticed until you get unpleasant smells or a drop in cleaning performance. A monthly tablet helps prevent it before it becomes a problem.

EcoEgg Detox Tablets are formulated for both washing machines and dishwashers. One tablet, run on a hot cycle with an empty machine, cleans through the internal parts by dissolving limescale and residue, neutralising odours, and leaving everything fresh and working as it should. Six tablets per pack cover six months of regular maintenance, so it's one less thing to keep on top of.

They're a particularly useful step for anyone switching to the EcoEgg Laundry Egg range, which works best in a machine that's been cleared of conventional detergent residue first. But they work just as well as a straightforward maintenance routine for any household.

How to use

Washing Machine

1. Unwrap the tablet and place it directly into the empty drum. The wrapper is 100% recyclable, so pop it in your recycling. Don’t add any clothing.
2. Run a hot and long cycle. Note: the EcoEgg Laundry Egg should not be used above 60°C.
3. Repeat once a month for best results.

Dishwasher

1. Unwrap the tablet and place it in the bottom of your empty dishwasher, or in the drawer. Don’t add any dishes.
2. Run the hottest and longest cycle your dishwasher has.
3. Repeat once a month to keep the build-up at bay.

EcoEgg Detox tablets are recommended if you're switching to the Laundry Egg. Conventional detergents and fabric softeners leave residue in the drum and internal components, and running a detox tablet first gives the Laundry Egg the best conditions to work in.
